The newsletter is a free weekly briefing for people involved in running town and parish councils. We aim to send it weekly but do not guarantee frequency, continuity or availability. You may unsubscribe at any time.
3. Information, not advice
The newsletter and site provide general information only. Nothing in them is legal, financial, governance or other professional advice. Funding criteria, deadlines, legislation and guidance change, so always verify details with the original source before acting or applying.
4. Third-party links
We link to third-party websites, including funders, government bodies, sector organisations and suppliers. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
5. Sponsorship and directory listings
Sponsored placements are identifiable as such. A sponsor’s appearance is not an endorsement. Standard supplier-directory profiles are independent editorial signposts based on public information; inclusion is not approval, recommendation or a commercial relationship. Councils remain responsible for their own checks and procurement decisions.
6. Intellectual property
The newsletter and site content, branding and layout belong to us unless otherwise stated. You may share editions and quote from them with attribution to The Clerk. You may not republish substantial portions commercially without permission.
7. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the site, attempt unauthorised access or use it to transmit malicious material.
